For a detailed list of specific ideas, click on “Educational Possibilities by Area of Curriculum”.
Teachers may choose to review the options offered and select specific topics on
which their group can focus.
Tours are self-guided. National Christmas Center escorts may be available to accompany
groups in order to answer questions or point out particular areas of interest (by
prior arrangement only). Adult chaperones are encouraged to read the signage and
explain to younger children what they are seeing, as well as keep their groups focused
on each exhibit as they tour. We require one adult chaperone for every five students.
An extensive collection of study aids (grades pre K–12) is available to educators,
for use either prior to tours or as follow-up activities. “Extended List of Study Aids Available”.
We invite educators and administrators to see firsthand how a tour of the National
Christmas Center can be incorporated into their students’ areas of study.
Please inform us of your interest and we will be happy to arrange a complimentary
visit.
A trip to the National Christmas Center will delight all the senses and make learning
a memorable and fun experience. Call us today for rates, or to schedule your group’s
tour!
At their discretion, public school groups can bypass the religious exhibits (The
Art of the Nativity and The First Christmas). Prior arrangements must be made so
that we may redirect the flow of pedestrian traffic to accommodate this request.
